About

Welcome to PenpontPhotos. A personal website to promote and showcase the photographs of Chris Wonnacott.
Chris is a Cornwall based photographer, and has his work published in South West magazines and newspaper articles and competitions.

A Cornishman through and through, he travels around the county and gets his main source of inspiration from the beautiful coastline; the moors and national trust properties and buildings in general.
His library of photos covers a comprehensive range of subjects, with no particular specialism. However, outside of Cornwall his passion is city scenes in the UK, Europe, and North & South America.

He has completed a variety of local photographic commissions; including wedding photos; club photos, local news events, private party events and outdoor events.
For weddings in particular, a more traditional style is employed - concentrating on the main wedding participants and their guests, with a leaning to more posed and and formal individual and group shots.
He also produces a monthly article with a selection of his photos, for his local village magazine.

Also, website manager and club photographer for a local football team provides more opportunities for people and sports action shots.

A set of Christmas cards ( using one of his photos ) for local sale has been produced and proved popular too.

Chris also enjoys submitting entries into competitions, and has been successful in getting 2 photos used in a company calendar in 2016; and now 3 photos in the 2017 calendar for the same company.
Plus several “runner up” places in various competitions.

Whenever and wherever he goes - his camera goes with him. It’s his life long hobby.
